Pisosale.com Followers and Readers, to prepare for the Red Hot Sale, heed this booking and flying rules for Air Asia Philippines, don’t forget to share this post with friends so they too will know about these important tips:
A. There is a processing fee for Air Asia online booking
- The processing fee if you will use credit, debit, charge cards is PHP 224 per guest per sector.
Here’s how its computed:
If you will book one way for 1 person, you will only pay PHP 224.
If you will book round trip for 1 person, you will pay PHP 448. The computation is P224 for originating flight for 1 person + P224 return flight for 1 person.
If you will book three persons for one way, you will pay PHP 672.
If you will book three persons for round trip, you will pay PHP 1,344.
Remember that the processing fee is additional payment on top of the Air Asia red hot sale promo tickets.
So, what do we at Piso Sale website suggest as payment method in Air Asia Philippines?
- We recommend that you use DRAGONPAY to pay for the online booking especially if you are paying for round trip or for multiple passengers. Why? Because the AirAsia processing fee for payments made via Dragonpay is PHP 224 per guest per booking.
Using our sample from No. 1 above, if you will book one way for 1 person, you will pay PHP 224. It’s the same processing fee if you will pay with credit or debit card. The difference becomes clearer if you will book round trip for 1 person.
If you will book round trip for 1 person, you will pay PHP 224. You will not pay PHP 448 like on the computation above, this is because the fee is PHP 224 per guest per sector.
If you will book three persons for one way, you will pay PHP 672.
If you will book three persons for round trip, you will pay PHP 672 (not PHP 1,344, which is what you will pay if you will use credit card).
B. These are the checked-in baggage fee of Air Asia at the time you will book your ticket, or initial booking:
- SMALL baggage (up to 20kg) rate is PHP 349.
- MEDIUM baggage (up to 25kg) rate is PHP 399
- LARGE baggage (up to 30kg) rate is PHP 999.
- EXTRA-LARGE baggage (up to 40kg) rate is PHP 1199.
*The baggage rate becomes a bit higher if you will book the add-on AFTER your ticket is confirmed.
PLUS, if you arrive at the airport with no prepaid baggage but you have luggage to check-in, Air Asia will ask you to pay PHP 800 good for the 1st 15 kilos. Yep, even if your luggage only weigh 5 kilos you will still pay PHP 800 at the airport check-in counter.
Supposed you have bought a prepaid baggage, but still incur excess bag, how much will you pay? What is Air Asia’s excess baggage rate per kilo? As of 2018, excess baggage fee is PHP 360 per kilo, ouch.
Piso Sale .com strong suggest that you enough BUY PREPAID BAGGAGE if there is a chance that your luggage will be heavier than 7 kilos on the day of your flight!
