Promo Terms – “ALL IN” versus “BASE FARE”
Whenever a ticket is on sale, the airline either quote the promo as “All In” or “Base Fare”.
A promo ticket quoted in “all in” rate means that the price listed is the cheapest rate which already include the fees like terminal fee, web admin fee, fuel surcharge, VAT.
A promo ticket quoted in “base fare” rate means that the listed price is not yet the total cost of ticket. There are additional fees like ticketing processing fee, terminal fee, etc.
Thus, whenever you want to book promo tickets, carefully read the terms and conditions of the sale.
What Is The Promo Code?
Promo code are usually announce by Philippine Airlines on their website and social media accounts, if one is needed, along with the destinations and rates details. We also inform our readers what is the promo code for seat sale which requires it.
Usually though, PAL does not require any promotion code for passengers to avail the discounted fares.
Mabuhay Miles
Join PAL’s reward and loyalty program, the Mabuhay Miles, especially if you are frequent flyer of Philippine Airlines. Joining is free and open to the public, just go to the Mabuhay Miles website and fill-up the online application form.
One can earn points by booking flights on PAL subject to terms and conditions, the accumulated points may be used to redeem free flights and to participate in the much-awaited Philippine Airlines Mabuhay Miles Getaway Promo.
What To Prepare To Book PAL Promo Tickets?
Be ready with the passenger details; name, contact numbers, email, birthdate.
Be ready with the route you want to book; one-way, round-trip, or multi-city.
Be ready with the travel dates; Be flexible with your fly date. We discussed much later below why this is important.
Make sure that the dates you plan to book are WITHIN the “travel period” for the seat sale. Promo rates will not appear on travel period not covered by the sale.
Check too if promo is “current” or already “expired”, take note of the listed “booking period”. Even if you are booking the correct dates within the travel period but the booking period has expired, you will not see any promo rates for an expired sale. Promos are on Limited Time Offer.
Make sure that you are among the first in the door when booking is open to the public. What does this mean? It means that you should be aware of the start and end of the official booking period and make it a target to search for the promo flights immediately or as soon as you can. Seats on sale are LIMITED so booking early ups your chance of finding the good deals before the other bookers.
Flexibility is a factor. If you can make your travel date flexible, the better. Why? This is because PAL promos have limited slots. When the cheapest fare is taken, the next lowest prices will be shown on the site. You can still book the date you planned to book, or you can also check-out other travel dates just in case the promo rates are available on them.
Be ready with the funds to pay the reserved tickets. This means that if you want to use credit card, there is enough balance to cover the ticket price, same thing with a debit card. Be ready with enough cash if that is your preferred payment method.
Pay the ticket within the allotted deadline or your reservation is forfeited.
Philippine Airlines Ticket Booking Cash Payment
Unless otherwise stated, Philippine Airlines promos are payable in CASH at accredited payment centers. This is true for both domestic and international reserved flights.
PAL Flights Domestic Cash Payments may be processed via 7 Eleven, SM Bills Payment Center, Robinson’s Department Stores, Bayad Center, Cebuana Lhuillier, ECPay, M Lhuillier, and One Network Bank.
PAL Flights for International quoted in USD may be paid in cash via banks, specifically the following: Asia United Bank, Banco De Oro Unibank, Philippine National Bank, Union Bank of the Philippines.
Other payment methods are credit cards, debit cards, cash cards. Virtual cards like that of PayMaya may also be used to pay the tickets.
PROMOS ARE LIMITED
The reality is this – promo fares on Philippine Airlines, and even competitor airlines like Cebu Pacific and Air Asia, are LIMITED. But it doesn’t mean that the promo is fake.
Sometimes, we get angry comments from readers saying that a PAL promo we shared is FAKE. It is not. We never share fake promos on PisoSale. What these commenters don’t understand is that ALL SEAT SALES ARE LIMITED. And they get angry when they try to search for sale tickets too late and find no promo rate on their chosen date.
Remember that the travel period is specific, the booking period is specific, and not all flight schedules and routes will feature a promo rate. That is just the reality. Just like a sale in a mall, not all products are on sale.
The lesson is that, if there is a promo on Philippine Airlines try your very best to book the tickets fast. Another thing that is important is to know the terms and conditions of a sale. Know if there are “blackout dates” so you won’t go searching for sale tickets on those dates.
What To Do If You Missed The Promo?
Since promos of Philippine Airlines are offered in Limited time, there maybe times that you know about a sale too late, you only know about it after the booking period ends. If you want to get timely updates, we suggest that you Subscribe to our emails or Follow us on Facebook Piso Sale.
We blast the new promos to our followers, make sure you will be alerted too.
